"AI Changes Everything” – Highlights from Oracle AI World 2025 in Las Vegas

Where enterprise AI took centre stage. Last week in Las Vegas, Oracle unveiled its boldest AI messaging yet. Under the tagline “AI Changes Everything”, the event made it clear: the era of generative AI isn’t coming — it’s here. From infrastructure to applications, from data to front-line workflows, AI agents and process automation dominated the agenda.
Highlights from Oracle AI World 2025 in Las Vegas

Here’s a summary of the major announcements — followed by our perspective (as a systems integrator) on what it all means for the next 12 months.

Major Announcements

AI Agents embedded in Cloud Applications

Oracle announced new AI agents built natively in its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, CX) suite. Examples include:

  • “Payables Agent” that ingests multi-channel invoices, extracts & normalises data, applies tax/policy/fraud checks, and routes for approval.
  • “Ledger Agent” that shifts accountants from report-chasing to continuous insight and action.
  • Supply chain and fulfilment agents that simplify quote-to-requisition, pick-pack-ship flows.

The message: process automation through AI agents is now central — not optional.

AI Agent Studio & Agent Marketplace

Oracle expanded its platform for creating, extending and managing AI agents: Oracle AI Agent Studio and the Agent Marketplace.

Agents can be customized, built on templates and LLMs, connected with business objects and APIs. The marketplace gives access to partner-built agents addressing specific business domains — not just drop-in bots, but full agent lifecycles.

AI at the Infrastructure & Data Platform layer

Oracle is positioning AI end-to-end: infrastructure, data, applications. It announced the new Autonomous AI Lakehouse and partnerships with AMD to deploy next-gen AI chips — signalling AI at scale as a strategic pillar.

Multicloud & open data gravity

Oracle emphasised that AI should serve your data wherever it lives — across Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud — aligning with hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.

Industry-specific intelligence & vertical focus

Oracle reiterated that generic AI solves ~60% of challenges; the remaining 40% lies in industry knowledge. Hence, Oracle is emphasising AI agents built for domain-specific tasks rather than generic chatbots.

What This Means for Us (as a Systems Integrator)

We will need to pivot our services

Instead of purely configuring applications, we must become AI-Agent Experts — building, orchestrating and managing AI agents that automate business processes. Our consulting mindset shifts from ‘set up workflows’ to ‘design agent-driven workflows’ where bots perform routine work and humans focus on higher-value tasks.

Our delivery frameworks must evolve

The next 12 months demand agent-first implementation approaches. We must embed change management, redesign roles, and build architectures that support agent orchestration and performance observability.

Tools like Cloud Success Navigator become vital

As Oracle moves towards AI-first interfaces (e.g., 25D release), we will need to guide clients through this transition, using tools like Cloud Success Navigator to track health, adoption, and performance.

Watch for “AI-first interface” and release 25D

Oracle hinted that Release 25D will introduce an AI-first interface — reimagining transactions for agent-driven interaction. Clients must prepare data, governance and user adoption plans accordingly.

Looking ahead – The Next 12 Months

If “AI changes everything”, the next year will be about adapting — for our clients and ourselves:

  • Expect accelerated adoption of AI agents in core functions.
  • Manual configuration will decline — automation will dominate.
  • Data quality, integration readiness, and observability will be key differentiators.
  • New skills will emerge: prompt engineering, agent lifecycle management, governance.
  • Consulting propositions will evolve: from ERP configuration to AI operations co-creation.

Final Word

Yes — AI truly changes everything. Oracle AI World 2025 marked a paradigm shift: enterprise software is now built around agentic AI, automation, and intelligence. We must evolve — becoming agent orchestration experts guiding clients into this AI-first era.
